heh I hate it when people set the shipping higher than the price of the item.

ok he eject button pops the cassette mechanism up so you can insert a tape, assuming you can find one :XD:
close the mechanism, then you're ready to watch.  pause/play/record/rew/ff all work as expected.  To record I think you have to push record AND play at the same time.  Don't ask me why.

The channel changers are the two knobs on the right.  UHF not many people use, VHF is for channels 2-13, normal viewing.  On modern TVs the recording may only be limited to one channel, 3 or 4, depending on where your input comes in.  You'll need either coax cable or RCA cables for I/O, again depending on how you have your TV set up.  If you want to use this on an older TV, run the coax in from the box to the input jack to the VCR.  Similarly, run wither a coax able out to the TV or use RCA cables.  I'd recommend coax all around.

For Modern TVs it's best to use RCA cables for output to the TV and just use it as a player.  DVRs cover most of this shit nowadays :)

What is the difference between UHF and vhf? And by the sounds of it, it hooks like a SNES

the only difference is the frequency range.  I'll try and get this table lined up properly.
Band                 Name                     Frequency, MHz                  Uses
7                       HF                          3-30                      Short wave, CB, RFID, etc
8                       VHF                       30-300                    FM, TV, aircraft-aircraft, weather radio
9                       UHF                       300-3000                TV, wireless, microwave, bluetooth, GPS
10                     SHF                       3000-30,000           radio astronomy, directed energy weapons, etc

the UHF were TV channels 14-53, back in the day when other devices didn't exist or were rare  (HAM radio, short wave, etc)
VHF covered channels 2-13.  There is no channel 1, by definition.  Made no sense to me, either.  :D
And I work with devices now in the Ku to Ka - band range, in the SHF frequency above.
